Union Station Main Hall

The Union Station Main Hall has had some remodeling. Works have been underway for some time. Right now it looks great. Huge and bright. I took my Monochrome there and I had a very pleasant shooting time.

Old DC

000024490006PSedit4218.jpg

I'm definitly in love, with some DC old buildings let's say classic buildings. Black and white is to me the best tool for architecture. This time I took a Hasselblad 501 with a Zeiss Distagon T* 4/50. Film was Kodak TMax 400.

Oak Hill Cemetery Chapel

000024510002PSedit4223.jpg

Oak Hill Cemetery is a nice place to walk in from time to time. This Chapel is one of the iconic places there. It can be pictured form different angles. This is one of my favorites. Don't forget your gear...and remember, whatever floats your boat is enough, even an IPhone! In this occasion I took a Mamiya 7II loaded with the lovely Kodak TMax 400. This is an incredible film if you want detail and almost no grain! Look carefully...can you see a certain 3D effect?

Obelisk view

000024490012PSedit4184PSedit4185.jpg

The Lincoln Memorial is plenty of terrific spots to picture the Obelisk and the National Mall. It is a nice job getting there and start exploring new "points of view". In this case it took me a while waiting for the right moment. There is always people wandering from one side to the other...so keep patient!

The former Farmers and Mechanics Branch building in Georgetown. Today's PNC Bank. This is a Mamiya 7II with Kodak TMax 400 shot. I like very much the character of the TMax 400, one of my favorite black and white films!
